It teaches that worship becomes spiritually effective when performed in sacred order (yathākramam) and in wholeness—honoring Shiva’s manifestations together with Śakti—so the devotee aligns with Pati (Shiva) through disciplined āvaraṇa-pūjā.
Āvaraṇa-worship is a Saguna method: the devotee approaches the Linga/Shiva through ordered circuits of divine aspects (such as Īśāna and related powers), recognizing that the One Lord is approached through His regulated forms and energies.
It indicates āvaraṇa/maṇḍala pūjā: worship the deities in the first enclosure in sequence, invoking each with their Śakti; this pairs well with japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and meditative visualization of the directions beginning with Īśāna.
