गौरीप्रवेशः—शिवसाक्षात्कारः

स्वेच्छयापि न कालीति नान्यवर्णवतीति च । त्वत्स्वभावाहृतं चित्तं सुभ्रु चिंतावहं मम
svecchayāpi na kālīti nānyavarṇavatīti ca | tvatsvabhāvāhṛtaṃ cittaṃ subhru ciṃtāvahaṃ mama
എന്റെ സ്വേച്ഛയാലും നിന്നെ കാളിയെന്നോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും വർണ്ണവതിയെന്നോ ചിന്തിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല. ഹേ സുഭ്രൂ! നിന്റെ സ്വഭാവം തന്നെ എന്റെ ചിത്തം കവർന്നു; അതു എനിക്കു വ്യാകുലചിന്തയുടെ കാരണമായി।

It shows how the mind (citta) is naturally seized by a beloved form and becomes restless; in Shaiva Siddhanta this restlessness is a sign of bondage (pāśa), which is purified when the same intensity is redirected into devotion and contemplation of Pati (Shiva).
The verse highlights attachment to form and qualities; Linga-worship steadies the mind by giving a sacred focus that leads from saguna contemplation (form-based devotion) toward inner stillness and recognition of Shiva as the transcendent ground beyond all colors and forms.
Use the restless mind as fuel for sādhanā: perform Panchakshara japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with breath-awareness, and stabilize attention through Linga-darśana/abhisheka; if appropriate, apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and keep Rudrāksha while maintaining mantra-smaraṇa.
