FAQs

It portrays Shakti as the manifest, active power that protects dharma—showing that divine grace operates through many forms to remove obstructive, tamasic forces that bind the soul (pāśa) in Shaiva Siddhanta.

While the Linga points to Shiva as the transcendent Pati, this verse highlights Saguna manifestation—Shiva’s power (Shakti) acting in the world—encouraging devotees to see protection and guidance as expressions of the same supreme reality worshipped in the Linga.

Meditate on Shiva with His Shakti as remover of inner ‘daityas’ (anger, delusion), and support practice with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined purity (bhasma/tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa where appropriate) as aids to steadiness.
