Sukta 5.30
चतुःसहस्रं गव्यस्य पश्वः प्रत्यग्रभीष्म रुशमेष्वग्ने । घर्मश्चित्तप्तः प्रवृजे य आसीदयस्मयस्तम्वादाम विप्राः ॥
catúḥsahasraṃ gávya̍sya paśváḥ práty agrabhīṣma ruśámeṣv agne | gharmáś cit taptáḥ pravṛ́je yá āsīd ayasmáyas tám vādāma víprāḥ ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, രുശമന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഗവ്യമായ പശുധനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നാലായിരം (പശുക്കൾ) ലഭിച്ചു. തുറന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് തപിച്ചിരുന്ന ഘർമവും—ഇരുമ്പുകൊണ്ടുണ്ടായതു—അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ഞങ്ങൾ വിപ്രന്മാർ (ഋഷികൾ) പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു (സിദ്ധിച്ച കര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ ചിഹ്നമായി).
