Sukta 4.12
यस्त्वामग्न इनधते यतस्रुक्त्रिस्ते अन्नं कृणवत्सस्मिन्नहन् । स सु द्युम्नैरभ्यस्तु प्रसक्षत्तव क्रत्वा जातवेदश्चिकित्वान् ॥
yás tvām agne inádhate yatásruk trís te ánnaṃ kṛṇávát sásmin áhan | sá sú dyumnáir abhy àstu prasákṣat táva kratvā jātavedas cikitvā́n ||
യാതൊരാൾ നിന്നെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവോ, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, യഥാക്രമ സ്രുചാ (അർപ്പണ-ചമച്) കൊണ്ട്, അതേ ദിവസത്തിൽ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം നിന്റെ അന്നം (ആഹുതി) ഒരുക്കുന്നുവോ—അവൻ നിന്റെ ദ്യുമ്ന (പ്രകാശമയ തേജസ്) കൊണ്ട് ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടവനാകട്ടെ; നിന്റെ ക്രതു (കാര്യക്ഷമ സംकल्प) കൊണ്ട് മഹാബലത്തോടെ വിജയിക്കട്ടെ; ഹേ ജാതവേദസ്, ചികിത്വാൻ (സചേതന ജ്ഞാത).
