Sukta 3.45
वृत्रखादो वलंरुजः पुरां दर्मो अपामजः । स्थाता रथस्य हर्योरभिस्वर इन्द्रो दृळ्हा चिदारुजः ॥
vṛtrakhādó valaṃrujáḥ purā́ṃ darmó apām ajáḥ | sthātā́ ráthasya háryor abhisvará índro dṛḷhā́ cid ārujáḥ ||
വൃത്രഖാദഃ—വൃത്രത്തിന്റെ ആവരണങ്ങളെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ, വലംരുജഃ—വലയുടെ ബന്ധനം ഭേദിക്കുന്നവൻ, പുരാം ദർമഃ—പുരങ്ങളെ പിളർക്കുന്നവൻ, അപാമജഃ—ജലങ്ങളുടെ ജന്മത്തെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ—ആ ഇന്ദ്രൻ, ഹര്യോരഥത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ട്, അഭിസ്വര—ഗർജനമയമായ ആക്രമണം—കൊണ്ട്, ദൃഢമായതുപോലും തകർക്കുന്നു.
