असूत पूर्वो वृषभो ज्यायानिमा अस्य शुरुधः सन्ति पूर्वीः । दिवो नपाता विदथस्य धीभिः क्षत्रं राजाना प्रदिवो दधाथे ॥
ásūta pū́rvo vṛṣabhó jyā́yān imā́ asya śurúdhaḥ santi pūrvī́ḥ | dívo napātā vidáthasya dhībhíḥ kṣatráṁ rājānā prádivo dadhāthe ||
ആദ്യം ജനിച്ചത് ശക്തിയുടെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠ വൃഷഭൻ; അവന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ ഈ അനേകം ധാരകൾ ആദിപ്രാചീനമാണ്. ഹേ ദ്യൗവിന്റെ നപാതരായ രണ്ടു രാജാക്കന്മാരേ, യജ്ഞത്തിലെ ധീ-ദർശനങ്ങളാൽ നിങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശമയ ദ്യൗവിൽ നിന്നുയരുന്ന ക്ഷത്രം—സാർവഭൗമാധികാരം—സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു.
