क उ नु ते महिमनः समस्यास्मत्पूर्व ऋषयोऽन्तमापुः । यन्मातरं च पितरं च साकमजनयथास्तन्वः स्वायाः ॥

ká u nú te mahimánaḥ samasyā́smát pū́rva ṛ́ṣayo ántam āpuḥ | yán mātáraṃ ca pitáraṃ ca sākám ájanayathās tanvàḥ svā́yāḥ ||

ഹേ (ദേവാ), നിന്റെ മഹിമയുടെ അതിരിൽ സത്യത്തിൽ ആരാണ് എത്തിയത്?—മുൻകാല ഋഷിമാർക്കും അതിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണ അളവിൽ എത്താൻ കഴിയാത്ത മഹിമ. കാരണം, നീ നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം സ്വതനുവിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ മാതാവിനെയും പിതാവിനെയും ഒരുമിച്ച് ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
