Sukta 10.129
नासदासीन्नो सदासीत्तदानीं नासीद्रजो नो व्योमा परो यत् । किमावरीवः कुह कस्य शर्मन्नम्भः किमासीद्गहनं गभीरम् ॥
nāsád āsīn no sád āsīt tadānī́ṃ nā́sīd rájo no vyòma paró yát | kim ā́varīvaḥ kúha kásya śármann ámbhaḥ kím āsīd gáhanaṃ gabhīrám ||
അപ്പോൾ ന അസത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, ന സത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ ന രജഃ (മധ്യലോകം/അന്തരിക്ഷം) ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, ന പരമായ വ്യോമം (ആകാശം) ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാം എന്താണ് മൂടിയിരുന്നത്—എവിടെ, ആരുടെ ശർമൻ (ആശ്രയം)യിൽ? അംഭഃ (ജലം) ആയിരുന്നോ—ഘനവും ഗൂഢവും ഗഹന-ഗംഭീരവും?
