इमा गावः सरमे या ऐच्छः परि दिवो अन्तान्त्सुभगे पतन्ती । कस्त एना अव सृजादयुध्व्युतास्माकमायुधा सन्ति तिग्मा ॥
imā́ gā́vaḥ sarame yā́ aícchaḥ pári divó ántānt subhage pátantī | kás ta enā́ áva sṛjā́d áyudhvī utā́smā́kam ā́yudhā santi tig्मā́ ||
ഹേ സരമേ, ഇവയത്രേ ആ ഗാവഃ—കിരണങ്ങൾ—നീ അന്വേഷിച്ചതു; ഹേ സുഭഗേ, നീ പറന്നുചെന്ന് ദ്യൗവിന്റെ അറ്റത്തോളം എത്തി. ഇനി അവയെ നിനക്കായി ആരാണ് വിട്ടുതരുക—നീ നിരായുധയായിരിക്കെ—ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ തീക്ഷ്ണങ്ങളാണ്.
