युवमेतानि दिवि रोचनान्यग्निश्च सोम सक्रतू अधत्तम् । युवं सिन्धूँरभिशस्तेरवद्यादग्नीषोमावमुञ्चतं गृभीतान् ॥
yuvám etā́ni diví rocanā́ny agníś ca soma sákratū adhattam | yuváṃ síndhūn abhíśaster avadyā́d agnī́ṣomā́v amuñcataṃ gṛbhītā́n ||
ഹേ അഗ്നിയും സോമവും, ദൃഢസങ്കൽപമുള്ളവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരും ദിവിയിൽ ഈ പ്രകാശമാന പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. ശത്രുവചനത്തിന്റെ ശാപം മൂലം ബന്ധിതമായിരുന്ന സിന്ധുക്കളെ (നദികളെ) നിങ്ങൾ മോചിപ്പിച്ചു; ഹേ അഗ്നി-സോമ, പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതിനെ നിങ്ങൾ വിടുവിച്ചു.
