Sukta 1.40
उत्तिष्ठ ब्रह्मणस्पते देवयन्तस्त्वेमहे । उप प्र यन्तु मरुतः सुदानव इन्द्र प्राशूर्भवा सचा ॥
uttíṣṭha brahmaṇaspate deva-yántaḥ tvemáhe | úpa prá yantu marútaḥ su-dā́nava índra prāśū́r bhavā sácā ||
എഴുന്നേൽക്കുക, ഹേ ബ്രഹ്മണസ്പതേ (വാക്കിന്റെ അധിപതേ); ദേവയന്തർ (ദൈവത്തെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ) ആയ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ വിളിക്കുന്നു. സുദാനവ മരുതുകൾ മുന്നോട്ട് വരട്ടെ; ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം സചാ (സഹിതം) നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് യജ്ഞയാത്രയിൽ വേഗപ്രേരകനാകുക.
