Sukta 1.32
नास्मै विद्युन्न तन्यतुः सिषेध न यां मिहमकिरद्ध्रादुनिं च । इन्द्रश्च यद्युयुधाते अहिश्चोतापरीभ्यो मघवा वि जिग्ये ॥
nā́ asmai vidyút na tányatuḥ siṣedha ná yā́m míham ákirad hrā́duniṃ ca | índraś ca yád yuyudhā́te áhiś cotā́parībhyo maghávā ví jigye ||
മിന്നലും അവനെ തടഞ്ഞില്ല, ഇടിമുഴക്കവും തടഞ്ഞില്ല; ഗർജ്ജിച്ചൊഴുകുന്ന പ്രളയധാര ചൊരിയുന്ന മേഘമഞ്ഞും അല്ല. ഇന്ദ്രനും അഹിയും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടിയപ്പോൾ, ദാനവാൻ മഘവൻ എല്ലാ ബന്ധനശക്തികളെയും അതിക്രമിച്ച് വിജയം നേടി.
