Sukta 1.179
इमं नु सोममन्तितो हृत्सु पीतमुप ब्रुवे । यत्सीमागश्चकृमा तत्सु मृळतु पुलुकामो हि मर्त्यः ॥
imáṃ nú sómam ántito hṛtsú pītám úpa bruve | yát sīm ā́gaś cakṛmá tát su mṛḷátu pulukā́mo hí mártyaḥ ||
ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ അഗാധത്തിൽ നിന്ന്—അകത്ത് കുടിച്ച ഈ സോമത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്—വാക്കുചൊല്ലുന്നു. അതിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ത ഏതൊരു പിഴവുമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, അത് (സോമം/ദേവത) സത്യമായും കൃപയോടെ ക്ഷമിക്കട്ടെ; കാരണം മർത്ത്യൻ അനേകം ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളുള്ള ജീവിയാണ്.
