Sukta 1.162
एकस्त्वष्टुरश्वस्या विशस्ता द्वा यन्तारा भवतस्तथ ऋतुः । या ते गात्राणामृतुथा कृणोमि ताता पिण्डानां प्र जुहोम्यग्नौ ॥
ékás tváṣṭur áśvasya vi-śastā́ dvā́ yantā́rā bhavatas táthā ṛtúḥ | yā́ te gā́trāṇām ṛtu-thā́ kṛṇómi tā́tā piṇḍā́nāṃ prá juhomy agnáu ||
ത്വഷ്ടൃയുടെ അശ്വത്തിനായി ഒരുത്തൻ വിഭജകൻ നിശ്ചിതനാകുന്നു; രണ്ടുപേർ അതിനെ നയിക്കുകയും നിയന്ത്രിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു—അതുപോലെ തന്നെ ഋതു, ഋതം (ധർമ്മ-നിയമം) എന്നും ഉണ്ട്. നിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളുടെ വിഭജനം ഞാൻ ഋതുക്രമത്തിൽ, യഥാർത്ഥ അളവനുസരിച്ച് ചെയ്യുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ആ പിണ്ഡങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ അഗ്നിയിൽ അർപ്പണമായി മുന്നോട്ട് വെച്ച് ജുഹൂതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.
