Sukta 1.103
शुष्णं पिप्रुं कुयवं वृत्रमिन्द्र यदावधीर्वि पुरः शम्बरस्य । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥
śúṣṇaṃ pípruṃ kúyavaṃ vṛtrám indra yadā́vadhīr ví púraḥ śámbarasya | tán no mitró váruṇo māmahantām áditiḥ síndhuḥ pṛthivī utá dyáuḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, നീ ശുഷ്ണൻ, പിപ്രു, കുയവ, വൃത്രൻ എന്നിവരെ വധിക്കുകയും ശംബരന്റെ ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങൾ തകർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ—ആ ജയശക്തി ഞങ്ങളെ വിപുലമാക്കട്ടെ. മിത്രനും വരുണനും, അദിതി, സിന്ധു (പ്രവാഹിനി നദി), പൃഥിവി, ദ്യൗ (ആകാശം) എന്നിവരും ഞങ്ങളെ മഹിമപ്പെടുത്തട്ടെ.
