यस्मादर्थाविवर्धन्तेयेष्वधर्मःप्रतिष्ठितः ।क्लिश्यन्तेधर्मशीलाश्चतस्मादेतौनिरर्थकौ ।।6.83.21।।

yasmād arthā vivardhante yeṣv adharmaḥ pratiṣṭhitaḥ |

kliśyante dharma-śīlāś ca tasmād etau nirarthakau ||6.83.21||

അധർമ്മം ഉറച്ചവരിൽ ധനവും ലാഭവും വർധിക്കുന്നതു നാം കാണുന്നു; ധർമ്മശീലന്മാർ മാത്രം ക്ലേശിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ഈ രണ്ടും (നീതിക്രമത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാദങ്ങൾ) നിർർത്ഥകമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു.
