कुम्भकर्णवधः

The Slaying of Kumbhakarna

रामोऽयमितिविज्ञायजहासविकृतस्वनम् ।अभ्यधावतसङ्ककृद्धोहरीवनिद्रावयन्रणे ।।।।

rāmo ’yam iti vijñāya jahāsa vikṛtasvanam | abhyadhāvata saṅkruddho harīn vidrāvayan raṇe ||

“ഇവൻ രാമൻ” എന്നു തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ കുംഭകർണ്ണൻ വികൃതമായ, അസ്വാഭാവികമായ ഗർജ്ജനത്തോടെ ചിരിച്ചു; പിന്നെ ക്രോധത്തോടെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പാഞ്ഞുചെന്ന് വാനരസേനയെ ചിതറിച്ചു.
