युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः

आवृतस्सगिरिस्सर्वैस्सैस्समन्तात् प्लवङ्गमैः ।।6.41.52।।अयुतानांसहस्रंचपुरींतामभ्यवर्तत ।
āvṛtaḥ sa giriḥ sarvais tais samantāt plavaṅgamaiḥ | ayutānāṃ sahasraṃ ca purīṃ tām abhyavartata ||6.41.52||
ആ പർവ്വതം ആ പ്ലവംഗമാർകൊണ്ട് എല്ലാ വശത്തുനിന്നും വളഞ്ഞു; അവർ അളവറ്റ പ്രതിരോധപരിധിയുള്ള ആ നഗരിയിലേക്കു—അയുതങ്ങളുടെ സഹസ്രംപോലെ വിശാലമായ പരിസരത്തിലേക്കു—അടിച്ചുകയറി മുന്നേറി.
