"O Ravana! You may quickly join me with my husband as it will be highly auspicious for the wife to join the husband."
Even in despair, Sītā frames her identity through marital dharma (pati-dharma): she seeks reunion with Rāma rather than compromise with adharma, underscoring unwavering allegiance to righteousness.
Believing Rāma is dead, Sītā addresses Rāvaṇa directly and asks to be killed so she may be reunited with her husband.
Steadfastness (dṛḍhatā) and chastity/fidelity (pativratā): she refuses any life severed from Rāma.
