Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
ततोविव्याथगात्रेषुसर्वेषुसमितिञ्जयः ।राघवस्तुसुसङ्क्रुद्धोरावणंबहुभिश्शरैः ।।।।
tato vivyātha gātreṣu sarveṣu samitiñjayaḥ | rāghavas tu susaṅkruddho rāvaṇaṃ bahubhiḥ śaraiḥ ||
അതിനുശേഷം സമരവിജയിയായ രാഘവൻ അത്യന്തം ക്രുദ്ധനായി, രാവണന്റെ സർവാംഗങ്ങളിലും അനേകം ശരങ്ങളാൽ ഭേദിച്ചു.
In the meantime, enraged Lakshmana, the brother of Rama, a mighty warrior, seized hold of seven shafts.
Dharma permits force when it is disciplined and directed to restrain adharma; righteous anger becomes duty-bound action, not cruelty.
After being struck, Rāma retaliates powerfully, wounding Rāvaṇa across his body with a volley of arrows.
Kṣātra-dharma (warrior duty) guided by purpose: Rāma’s response is decisive and controlled, aimed at ending wrongdoing.
