प्रथमः सर्गः
Rama Praises Hanuman; Anxiety over Crossing the Ocean
नियुक्तो नृपतेः कार्यं न कुर्याद्यस्समाहितः ।भृत्यो युक्तस्समर्थश्च तमाहुः पुरुषाधमम् ।।।।
niyukto nṛpateḥ kāryaṃ na kuryād yaḥ samāhitaḥ | bhṛtyo yuktaḥ samarthaś ca tam āhuḥ puruṣādhamam ||
രാജാവിന്റെ കര്മ്മത്തിന് നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട്, യോഗ്യനും കഴിവുള്ളവനുമായിട്ടും മനസ്സൊന്നാക്കി ആ കര്മ്മം നിർവഹിക്കാത്ത ഭൃത്യനെ ‘പുരുഷാധമൻ’ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു.
