लङ्कादाहः — The Burning of Lanka

Catuḥpañcāśaḥ Sargaḥ

वनं तावत्प्रमथितं प्रकृष्टा राक्षसा हताः।।।बलैकदेशः क्षपितश्शेषं दुर्गविनाशनम्।

vanaṃ tāvat pramathitaṃ prakṛṣṭā rākṣasā hatāḥ | balaika-deśaḥ kṣapitaḥ śeṣaṃ durga-vināśanam ||

വനം മുഴുവനായി തകർത്തുകഴിഞ്ഞു; ശ്രേഷ്ഠരാക്ഷസന്മാർ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ ഒരു വിഭാഗം നശിച്ചു—ഇനി ശേഷിക്കുന്നത് ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ നാശം മാത്രം.
