अयोध्याकाण्डे द्विषष्टितमः सर्गः
Kausalyā consoles Daśaratha; grief, remorse, and nightfall
प्रसादये त्वां कौसल्ये रचितोऽयं मयाऽञ्जलिः।वत्सला चानृशंसा च त्वं हि नित्यं परेष्वपि।।।।
prasādaye tvāṃ kauśalye racito ’yaṃ mayā ’ñjaliḥ |
vatsalā cānṛśaṃsā ca tvaṃ hi nityaṃ pareṣv api ||
ഹേ കൗസല്യേ, നിന്നെ പ്രസന്നയാക്കാൻ ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു—നിന്റെ കൃപയ്ക്കായി ഞാൻ ഈ കൂപ്പുകൈ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു. നീ എപ്പോഴും വാത്സല്യവതിയും അനൃശംസയും ആകുന്നു; വിരോധികളോടും നീ ഒരിക്കലും കഠിനയല്ല.
O Kausalya! I entreat you with folded palms. Be merciful. Forever affectionate, you are not cruel even towards your enemies.
