अयोध्याकाण्डे द्विषष्टितमः सर्गः
Kausalyā consoles Daśaratha; grief, remorse, and nightfall
दह्यामान स्सशोकाभ्यां कौसल्यामाह भूपतिः।वेपमानोऽञ्जलिं कृत्वा प्रसादार्थमवाङ्मुखः।।।।
dahyāmānaḥ sa śokābhyāṃ kauśalyām āha bhūpatiḥ |
vepamāno ’ñjaliṃ kṛtvā prasādārtham avāṅmukhaḥ ||
ശോകത്തിന്റെ ഇരട്ട ദാഹത്തിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഭൂപതി കൗസല്യയോട് സംസാരിച്ചു; വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, തല താഴ്ത്തി, കൂപ്പുകൈയോടെ പ്രസാദവും ക്ഷമയും അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
