शततमः सर्गः — Rāma Questions Bharata on Rājadharma
Governance, Counsel, and Public Welfare
कच्चिदर्थं विनिश्चित्य लघुमूलं महोदयम्।क्षिप्रमारभसे कर्तुं न दीर्घयसि राघव।।।।
kaccid arthaṃ viniścitya laghumūlaṃ mahodayam | kṣipram ārabhase kartuṃ na dīrghayasi rāghava ||
ഹേ രാഘവ (ഭരത)! ചെറുസാധനങ്ങളാൽ മഹത്തായ ഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്ന വിധത്തിൽ കാര്യം നിശ്ചയിച്ചാൽ, നീ അതിനെ വൈകാതെ വേഗത്തിൽ ആരംഭിച്ച് നടപ്പാക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ? അനാവശ്യമായി നീട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നില്ലല്ലോ?
