The Greatness of Haridvāra

Gaṅgādvāra-māhātmya

तच्छत्वा भगवानाह न श्रेयो गमनं ततः । अथ देवमनादृत्य भाविनोऽर्थस्य गौरवात् ॥ ११ ॥

tacchatvā bhagavānāha na śreyo gamanaṃ tataḥ | atha devamanādṛtya bhāvino'rthasya gauravāt || 11 ||

ഇത് കേട്ട് ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “അവിടെ പോകുന്നത് ശ്രേയസ്കരം അല്ല.” എങ്കിലും വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ലാഭത്തെ മഹത്തായി കരുതി, ദേവന്റെ വാക്ക് അവഗണിച്ച് അവൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു।
