रसः स्थिरा ततः साग्निशून्यं तवियुतो मरुत् । रयः शून्यं चाग्नियुतं हृदाहंसाच्च तत्परम् ॥ ५७ ॥

rasaḥ sthirā tataḥ sāgniśūnyaṃ taviyuto marut | rayaḥ śūnyaṃ cāgniyutaṃ hṛdāhaṃsācca tatparam || 57 ||

‘രസ’ം സ്ഥിരമാകുന്നു; തുടർന്ന് അഗ്നിശൂന്യമായ ശൂന്യം ‘തവി’യോടു ചേർന്ന് ‘മരുത്’ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ‘രയഃ’ ശൂന്യം; അഗ്നിയോടു ചേർന്നാൽ ‘ഹൃദാഹംസാ’ രൂപമാകും. അതിൽ നിന്നു പിന്നത്തെ ഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്നു॥
