Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states that once the mind is purified and stabilized, the seeker gains direct, non-conceptual realization (nirvikalpa jñāna) in line with Upaniṣadic Mahāvākyas such as “tattvam asi,” pointing to liberation through identity-knowledge.
While the verse is primarily Vedāntic (jñāna-focused), it implies that inner purification and one-pointedness—often cultivated through Vishnu-bhakti practices in the Narada Purana—prepare the mind for the highest realization beyond concepts.
It highlights Vedānta-style use of śruti-vākya (Mahāvākya) as a pramāṇa (means of knowledge): disciplined mental refinement makes the Upaniṣadic statement effective as direct realization rather than mere intellectual understanding.
