शुश्राव गीतिं मधुरां शंकरो लोकभावतः । स्वयं गातुं हि ललितं मंदंमंदं प्रचक्रमे ॥ ११५ ॥

മധുരഗാനം കേട്ട ശങ്കരൻ ലോകഭാവത്താൽ പ്രേരിതനായി, സ്വയം തന്നെ മന്ദമന്ദമായി ലളിതമായി പാടാൻ തുടങ്ങി।
