asyāḥ saṃkalpamātreṇa mahāpāpaiḥ pramucyate | brahmaivāhaṃ na saṃsārī nityamukto na śokabhāk || 95 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a jñāna-oriented context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It asserts that even the firm inner resolve grounded in true self-knowledge dissolves heavy karmic burdens, culminating in the Vedantic recognition that the Self is Brahman—ever free and untouched by sorrow.
While the verse is primarily jñāna-centric, it supports bhakti indirectly by removing the sense of separateness and fear; devotion matures when the devotee’s identity shifts from “bound soul” to the ever-liberated Self, making worship steady and free from grief.
No specific Vedāṅga technique (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is mental discipline (saṅkalpa) and Vedāntic discernment used as an inner ‘sādhanā’ to counter pāpa and sorrow.
