Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It highlights śāstric discipline: even technical rules are taught with clarity and hierarchy (a “preliminary” and a “best” method), reflecting the Purāṇic ideal that right knowledge (vidyā) supports right living and ultimately aids liberation-minded discernment.
Direct bhakti instruction is not explicit here; instead, it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing orderly learning and accurate understanding—qualities praised in Purāṇic tradition for those who seek to serve and contemplate the Supreme with steadiness.
A gaṇita-style computational rule is referenced—doubling, dividing by a chosen quantity, and an operation involving “addition of squares,” indicating a technical, method-based approach akin to Vedāṅga-adjacent scientific instruction.
