Narada (teaching in dialogue context with the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates “śāstra-dāna” (donation of sacred knowledge) as a high form of charity, emphasizing inner purity (freedom from envy) and careful ritual propriety (auspicious timing and accompanying gifts) to maximize puṇya.
By encouraging the spread of sacred teachings through copying and gifting texts, it supports bhakti indirectly—devotion grows when scriptural knowledge becomes accessible to others, and the giver practices selfless, non-jealous giving.
Jyotiṣa (Vedic astronomy/astrology) is implied through the instruction to give on Puṣya nakṣatra, showing how auspicious calendrical timing is integrated into dāna-vidhi (ritual rules for charity).
