Adhyāya 6: Kaṅka (Yudhiṣṭhira) Seeks Refuge in Virāṭa’s Assembly
न प्रज्ञास्यन्ति कुरवो नरा वा तन्निवासिन: । इत्युक्त्वा वरदा देवी युधिष्ठिरमरिंदमम् । रक्षां कृत्वा च पाण्डूनां तत्रैवान्तरधीयत
na prajñāsyanti kuravo narā vā tannivāsinaḥ | ity uktvā varadā devī yudhiṣṭhiram ariṃdamam | rakṣāṃ kṛtvā ca pāṇḍūnāṃ tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“കുരുക്കളോ അവിടെ പാർക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരോ നിങ്ങളെ തിരിച്ചറിയുകയില്ല.” ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ് വരദായിനിയായ ദേവി ശത്രുദമനായ യുധിഷ്ഠിരനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു; പാണ്ഡവർക്കു രക്ഷാകവചം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി അവിടെത്തന്നെ അന്തർധാനം ചെയ്തു.
