कृपवाक्यं तथा नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel and a Discourse on Statecraft
क्षत्रधर्मरता नित्यं केशवानुगता: सदा । प्रवीरपुरुषास्ते वै महात्मानो महाबला: । नावसीदितुमर्न्ति उद्बहन्त: सतां धरम्,'पाण्डव क्षत्रिय-धर्ममें नित्य अनुरक्त रहकर सदा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका अनुगमन करनेवाले हैं। वे उत्तम वीर पुरुष, महात्मा, महाबलवान् तथा साधु पुरुषोंके लिये उचित कर्तव्यका भार वहन कर रहे हैं; अतः वे कष्ट भोगने या नष्ट होने योग्य नहीं हैं
kṣatradharmaratā nityaṃ keśavānugatāḥ sadā | pravīrapuruṣās te vai mahātmāno mahābalāḥ | nāvasīditum arhanti udbahantaḥ satāṃ dharam ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— പാണ്ഡവർ നിത്യവും ക്ഷത്രധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിഷ്ഠരായി, സദാ കേശവൻ (ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ) അനുസരിക്കുന്നവരാണ്. അവർ വീരന്മാരിൽ അഗ്രഗണ്യർ, മഹാത്മാക്കൾ, മഹാബലവാന്മാർ. സജ്ജനരുടെ നിമിത്തം ധർമ്മകർത്തവ്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാരമേറ്റു വഹിക്കുന്ന അവർ ദുഃഖത്തിൽ തളരുകയോ നാശത്തിലേക്കു വീഴുകയോ ചെയ്യേണ്ടവരല്ല.
