अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
आखयातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्जेयो हि सुरासुरै:,ब्रह्मर्ष! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें अपने स्वरूपका उपदेश किया है, जिसका जानना देवता और असुरोंके लिये भी कठिन है। जबतक महातपस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्माका जागरण न हो, तबतक तुम श्रद्धा और विश्वासपूर्वक सुखसे विचरते रहो
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjeyo hi surāsuraiḥ, brahmarṣe |
ദേവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—എന്റെ സ്വന്തം സത്യസ്വരൂപം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; അത് ദേവന്മാർക്കും അസുരന്മാർക്കും പോലും ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ ദുഷ്കരം. അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ ബ്രഹ്മർഷേ, മഹാതപസ്വിയായ ഭഗവാൻ ബ്രഹ്മ ജാഗരിക്കുവോളം, ശ്രദ്ധയും വിശ്വാസവും ആശ്രയിച്ച് സുഖമായി വിഹരിക്ക.
