Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

विज्ञानेन निवृत्तास्ते व्यवर्तन्त महौजसः संबुद्धाश्चैव नानात्वे अप्रवृत्ताश् च योगिनः

vijñānena nivṛttāste vyavartanta mahaujasaḥ saṃbuddhāścaiva nānātve apravṛttāś ca yoginaḥ

വിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ (വിവേകജ്ഞാനം) നിവൃത്തരായ ആ മഹൗജസ്വികളായ യോഗികൾ സംസാരപ്രവൃത്തിയിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞു. നാനാത്വാതീത തത്ത്വത്തിൽ സംബുദ്ധരായി അവർ ഭേദാനുഭവമാർഗത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാതെ, പശു (ബന്ധിത ജീവൻ)യെ പതി ശ്രീശിവനിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്ന സിദ്ധമാർഗത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിതരായി നിന്നു.
