FAQs

It frames sunrise and sunset as fixed cosmic junctions (sandhyā) where order prevails—ideal times for Linga-pūjā, since Shiva as Pati is contemplated as the regulator of time, direction, and elemental cycles.

Though Shiva is not named, the verse implies an overseeing principle of ṛta (cosmic order): Shiva-tattva as Pati is the intelligible ground that harmonizes hemispheres, time (ahorātra), and elements (apah), while the pashu experiences these rhythms within saṁsāra.

Krama-yoga—practice by ordered sequence—suggests disciplined observance at dawn and dusk (sandhyā), supporting Pāśupata-oriented steadiness (niyama) through regular worship, japa, and contemplation aligned to cosmic transitions.
