श्रीमहादेव उवाच प्रलयस्थितिसर्गाणां कर्ता त्वं धरणीपते वत्स वत्स हरे विष्णो पालयैतच्चराचरम्

ശ്രീമഹാദേവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ ധരണീപതേ, പ്രിയ വത്സാ! ഹേ ഹരി വിഷ്ണോ! പ്രളയം, സ്ഥിതി, സൃഷ്ടി എന്ന ത്രയത്തിൽ കർത്താവായി നീയേ നിയുക്തൻ; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഈ സമസ്ത ചരാചര ലോകത്തെ പാലിക്കു।
