चेतो॒ हृद॑यं॒ यकृ॑न्मे॒धा व्र॒तं पु॑री॒तत्

céto hṛ́dayaṃ yákṛn médhā vratáṃ purītát

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Mind, heart, liver; intelligence, the sacred observance, and the inmost membrane—(these are set in their places).

Translation

ചേതോ (മനം), ഹൃദയം, യകൃത് (കരൾ); മേധാ, വ്രതം, പൂരീതത് (അന്തരത്തിൻ്റെ പാളി)—ഇവയൊക്കെയും തത്തത്ത സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി നിലകൊള്ളട്ടെ.
