Sukta 5
ajó́ ’syáj(a) svargó ’si tváyā lokám áṅgirasaḥ prá ajā́nan | táṃ lokáṃ púṇyaṃ prá jñéṣam ||
O Aja, thou art heavenward; by thee the Angirases came to know the World. That holy World—may I win it, may I apprehend it forth.
Rishi: Angiras/Atharvanic tradition (hymn associates efficacy with the Angirases)
Devata: Aja (as cosmic/sacrificial agent) and Agni (as conveyor, implicit)
Chandas: Mixed; predominantly Anuṣṭubh-like cadence in the pādas (edition-dependent)
Primary: adbhuta
Secondary: shanta
