अ॒भि तं निरृ॑तिर्धत्ता॒मश्व॑मिवाश्वाभि॒धान्या॑ । म॒ल्वो यो मह्यं॒ क्रुध्य॑ति॒ स उ॒ पाशा॒न्नमु॑च्यते

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 4.36.10

abhí táṃ nírr̥tiḥ dhattām áśvam ivāśvābhidhā́nyā | malvó yó máhyaṃ krúdhyati sá u pāśā́n ná mucyate ||

Let Nirṛti set upon him, as horse-halter on a horse: the Malva who is wroth with me—verily he is not loosed from the noose.

നിരൃതിയ് അവനെ പിടിച്ചടക്കട്ടെ—കുതിരയ്‌ക്കു മേൽ കുതിരക്കെട്ട് (ഹാൾട്ടർ) ഇടുന്നതുപോലെ. എന്നോടു ക്രോധിക്കുന്ന ആ മൽവ (മാലവ)ൻ സത്യമായും പാശത്തിൽ നിന്നു (കുരുക്കിൽ നിന്നു) മോചിതനാകുന്നില്ല.
