Sukta 17
या श॒शाप॒ शप॑नेन॒ याघं मूर॑माद॒धे। या रस॑स्य॒ हर॑णाय जा॒तमा॑रे॒भे तो॒कम॑त्तु॒ सा
yā́ śaśā́pa śápanena yā́ghaṃ mū́ram ādadhe | yā́ rásasya hárāṇāya jātámārebhe tókám attú sā́
She who hath cursed with cursing, who hath laid on evil and benumbing stupor; she who, to steal the vital sap, assaileth the child among the newly-born—let that woman be devoured (by her own bane).
ശാപംകൊണ്ട് ശാപിച്ചവളും, അഘം (അപശകുനം/ദുരിതം)യും മൂർ (ജഡമാക്കുന്ന മന്ദസ്തംഭം)യും ഏല്പിച്ചവളും; രസ (ജീവരസം) കവർന്നെടുക്കാൻ പുതുജാതരിലെയുള്ള കുഞ്ഞിനെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നവളും—ആ സ്ത്രീയെ അവളുടെ തന്നെ വിഷബാധ ഭക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ.
