Sukta 2
उत् त्वा॑ वहन्तु म॒रुत॑ उदवा॒हा उ॑द॒प्रुतः॑ । अ॒जेन॑ कृ॒ण्वन्तः॑ शी॒तं व॒र्षेणो॑क्षन्तु॒ बालिति॑
út tvā vahantu marúta udavāhā́ udaprútaḥ | ajéna kṛṇvántaḥ śītáṃ varṣéṇókṣantu bāl íti ||
Up let the Maruts bear thee—upbearing, up-springing; with the goat making coolness, with rain let them sprinkle thee—so be it.
മരുത്തുകൾ നിന്നെ മേലോട്ടു വഹിക്കട്ടെ—മേലോട്ടു വഹിക്കുന്നവർ, മേലോട്ടു ഉയിർക്കുന്നവർ. അജൻ (ആട്) മുഖേന ശീതളത ഉണ്ടാക്കി, മഴകൊണ്ട് നിന്നെ തളിക്കട്ടെ—അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകട്ടെ (ബാലിതി)।
