Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa)
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvijottamāḥ (assembled brāhmaṇas)
Scene: Sūta sits in a forest hermitage assembly, addressing attentive brāhmaṇas; behind him a mental map of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra where Janārdana reclines.
Tīrtha-māhātmya is preserved through sacred narration; knowing the deity’s presence in a place deepens reverence and observance.
Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra, where Janārdana is said to lie (chete) in holy repose.
No direct ritual is stated here; it identifies the tīrtha and anchors the śayana-related observances to that site.
