स्कंद उवाच । शृण्वगस्त्य महाभाग भविष्यं कथयाम्यहम् । कृष्णद्वैपायनो व्यासोऽकथयद्यन्महद्वचः । निश्चिकेतुमनाः पश्चाद्यत्करिष्यति तच्छृणु
skaṃda uvāca | śṛṇvagastya mahābhāga bhaviṣyaṃ kathayāmyaham | kṛṣṇadvaipāyano vyāso'kathayadyanmahadvacaḥ | niściketumanāḥ paścādyatkariṣyati tacchṛṇu
ສະກັນດະກ່າວວ່າ: ຈົ່ງຟັງເຖີດ ອະກັສຕະຍະ ຜູ້ມີບຸນຍິ່ງ; ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຈະເລົ່າອະນາຄົດ. ຈົ່ງຟັງຖ້ອຍຄຳອັນຍິ່ງທີ່ ກຣິສນະດວຍປາຍນະ ວະຍາສະ ໄດ້ກ່າວໄວ້; ແລະຈົ່ງຟັງວ່າ ຜູ້ມີໃຈມຸ່ງໝັ້ນຈະເຮັດສິ່ງໃດຕໍ່ໄປ.
