Mantra 50

Neither the Rākṣasas nor the Piśācas overpass that power: for this is, verily, the first-born might of the gods. Whoso beareth the Dākṣāyaṇa gold, he establisheth for himself long life among the gods; he establisheth for himself long life among men.
Mantra 52
When the Dākṣāyaṇas, being of gracious mind, bound on the gold for Śatānīka, even that do I bind upon myself for a hundred autumns, that I may be possessed of life, and may behold old age, even as I am.
Mantra 53
And may Ahi Budhnya hearken unto us; may Aja Ekapād, the Earth, and the Sea (hear). May all the Gods, increasers of Ṛta, being invoked, the lauded Mantras, praised by the seers, protect (and further) us.
Mantra 54
These utterances, ghee-dropping, do I offer with the juhū unto the Ādityas, the kings from of old. May Mitra hear, and Aryaman, and Bhaga for us; (may) Varuṇa, of mighty birth, (hear), and Dakṣa and Aṃśa.
Mantra 55
Seven seers are set within the body; seven guard it ever without remissness. Seven waters have gone to the world of sleep; there the two gods, sleepless, abiding at the sattra, keep watch.
Mantra 56
Arise, O Lord of Prayer; we, god-seeking, implore thee. Let the Maruts, bounteous, come onward; and do thou, O Indra, become swift in company (with them).
Mantra 57
Now forth indeed Brahmaṇaspati uttereth the ukthya mantra, wherein Indra and Varuṇa, Mitra and Aryaman—the Gods—have made their dwellings.
Mantra 58
O Lord of sacred speech, thou art the guide of this (rite): take heed of the well-spoken hymn, and quicken the offspring. All that is auspicious which the Gods do favour—may we speak what is great in the assembly of worship, rich in goodly heroes.
Because the chapter treats correct inner intention as the condition for outer ritual success: Manas is praised as the far-ranging power that steadies understanding and directs the yajña so offerings bear fruit.
Bhaga secures the rightful share—good fortune, lawful enjoyment, and auspicious precedence—while Pūṣan protects the sacrificer and guides the path of the rite under his vrata so the work proceeds unharmed.
Uṣas aligns the sacrifice with the renewing rhythm of morning time and sustained auspiciousness, while Dyāvā–Pṛthivī grounds the rite in cosmic support and the ordinance of ṛta/dharma that makes ordered life and sacrifice possible.
