भगवन् कोऽन्वयं देशस्समृद्धवनशोभित:।श्रोतुमिच्छामि भद्रं ते वक्तुमर्हसि तत्त्वत:।।1.31.23।।
bhagavan ko ’nvayaṃ deśaḥ samṛddha-vana-śobhitaḥ | śrotum icchāmi bhadraṃ te vaktum arhasi tattvataḥ || 1.31.23 ||
ຂ້າແຕ່ພຣະຜູ້ຈະເລີນ ດິນແດນນີ້ງາມດ້ວຍປ່າໄມ້ອຸດົມສົມບູນ ມີທີ່ມາແລະຄວາມໝາຍຢ່າງໃດ? ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າປາຖະໜາຈະຟັງ ຂໍຄວາມສຸກສະຫວັດດີຈົ່ງມີແກ່ທ່ານ—ໂປດກ່າວຄວາມຈິງໃຫ້ຄົບຖ້ວນ
Thereafter highly lustrous Rama, the best among men, filled with curiosity enquired ofthe great sage Viswamitra:
Dharma is truth-seeking with reverence: Rāma requests an account ‘tattvataḥ’ (as it truly is) while maintaining respectful address and wishing well-being to the teacher.
Rāma notices the land’s lush forest beauty and asks Viśvāmitra to explain its background and significance.
Satya-oriented inquiry and humility—Rāma seeks accurate knowledge without presumption, honoring the sage’s authority.
