The Question about Mohinī
तेषां मध्ये वयोवृद्धो गौतमो वाक्यमब्रवीत् । वयं समागता देवि नानाशास्त्रविशारदाः ॥ ३३ ॥
teṣāṃ madhye vayovṛddho gautamo vākyamabravīt | vayaṃ samāgatā devi nānāśāstraviśāradāḥ || 33 ||
ໃນທ່າມກາງພວກເຂົາ ຜູ້ເຖົ້າທີ່ສຸດຄື ໂກຕະມະ ໄດ້ກ່າວວ່າ: “ໂອ ເທວີ, ພວກເຮົາມາຊຸມນຸມກັນ ເປັນຜູ້ຊໍານານໃນຄຳພີສາດຕ່າງໆ.”
Sage Gautama
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"bhakti","emotional_journey":"From orderly attention to reverent address (‘devi’) and confident declaration of learned readiness."}
It establishes the authority and intent of the discussion: a senior sage speaks within a learned assembly, implying that the coming guidance is grounded in śāstra and meant to lead the listener toward dharma-informed spiritual understanding.
Indirectly, it frames bhakti and other practices as best approached through satsanga and śāstric clarity—devotion becomes mature and steady when guided by learned teachers rather than mere sentiment.
The phrase “nānā-śāstra-viśāradāḥ” points to multidisciplinary expertise—often including Vedāṅga-based competence such as Vyākaraṇa (grammar) for correct recitation/meaning and Kalpa (ritual procedure) for proper observance.
