द्वादशमासेषु अष्टमी-व्रत-कथनम्

पुत्रं सर्वगुणोपेतमिच्छद्भिर्विविधं सुखम् । गोपाष्टमीति संप्रोक्ता कार्तिके धवले दले ॥ ८० ॥

putraṃ sarvaguṇopetamicchadbhirvividhaṃ sukham | gopāṣṭamīti saṃproktā kārtike dhavale dale || 80 ||

ຜູ້ໃດປາດຖະນາບຸດທີ່ພ້ອມດ້ວຍຄຸນທຳທັງປວງ ແລະຄວາມສຸກຫຼາຍປະການ ຄວນຖືວຣະຕະທີ່ເອີ້ນວ່າ «Gopāṣṭamī» ຊຶ່ງກ່າວໄວ້ວ່າຢູ່ໃນຂ້າງຂຶ້ນຂອງເດືອນ Kārttika.
